Troubleshooting

Search common navigation, update, and map-data issues.

12 topics found

Map missing new roads

Recently built roads may not appear on your map until the next update cycle covers that area.

GPS signal lost or weak

Metal structures, tunnels, and dense urban areas can weaken GPS signal temporarily; check again in open sky.

USB/SD card not recognized

Confirm the drive is formatted correctly and the update files weren't altered after downloading from an official source.

Navigation screen frozen or unresponsive

A soft reset of the infotainment system (consult your owner's manual for the correct method) often resolves this.

Update stuck or fails partway through

Make sure the vehicle stays running and the update source isn't removed until the process fully completes.

Directions seem wrong or outdated

Recent road changes not yet reflected in your map data can cause this; report persistent issues to Honda's official channels.

Voice guidance not working

Check your system's audio and voice guidance settings, and confirm the volume for navigation prompts specifically isn't muted.

Can't find the map version menu

Menu wording and location vary by system generation; check your owner's manual for the exact path on your model.

Got a suspicious email or pop-up about an update

Don't click through. Navigate to Honda's own official website directly instead, or see our guide on avoiding update scams.

Already paid a suspicious site

Contact your card issuer promptly to dispute the charge, and see our full guide on what to do next.

Questions about update cost or dealer process

Pricing and process vary by vehicle and change over time; contact Honda's own official website or an authorized dealer directly.

Update asks for your VIN

It's normal for legitimate systems to use your Vehicle Identification Number to match the correct map data — but only enter it on Honda's own official site or with a verified dealer.
